Cheryl Boggs is a radio host, gospel recording artist, preacher and worship leader. She has lead praise and worship services in cross-cultural, nondenominational churches across the United States for over 15 years, including services for such noted pastors as Bishop TD Jakes, Brian Keith Williams, Rod Parsley and Steve Hill. Cheryl's greatest desire is to lead people into worship and a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Cheryl is the host and producer of "Resting In His Word" a weekly radio program featuring interviews with Gospel Recording Artist; Authors; Spoken Word Artist; inspiring segments; anointed music and sharing the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Cheryl has traveled and ministered in France, Germany, Luxembourg, Bermuda, the Bahamas, Canada and the West Indies, as well as across the continental United States, Hawaii and Puerto Rico. She has ministered in prisons, nursing homes, children’s hospitals, and conducted outreach ministries to teens and young adults in centers for troubled youth.
Cheryl has received many awards as a gospel artist. In 1990 both McDonald’s Gospelfest and the Gospel Music Excellence Award named her “Contemporary Soloist of the Year.”
As a soloist Cheryl has sung in front of over 20,000 people, and as a group member she has sung before more than a half million. She has sung on the same stage with Pastor Donnie McClurkin, Shirley Caesar, Vickie Winans, Lynda Randle, Jessy Dixon, Bishop Gary Oliver, Darwin Hobbs, Beverly Crawford, Tramaine Hawkins, Smokie Norful, Yolanda Adams, Pastor Marvin Sapp, Pastor Judy Jacobs and others.
For years, Cheryl was seen daily on the television program “Breakthrough” from World Harvest Church in Columbus, Ohio. She performed weekly on Ohio’s “51 Alive,” which was broadcast to much of the Greater Columbus area. She also regularly performed for the governor.
Cheryl grew up in Beckley, West Virginia, in a musical family. Her father was a Baptist pastor who traveled and sang across the state with her mother when they were not home with their five children. At age 15 Cheryl became a Christian and at 19 she accepted her call to preach.
After leaving West Virginia, Cheryl lived in Columbus, Ohio for 14 years before moving to Dallas, Texas, where she now lives. In Dallas for seven years she was an ordained elder at The Potter’s House, served on the praise and worship team and was a member of the Grammy Award-winning choir. She is presently touring with her latest CD and leading Praise and Worship across the country.
Cheryl has produced 4 CD’s “Resting In His Word;” “Ultimate Trust;” “Matters of the Heart” and “Pure Worship”.
Pure Worship is Cheryl’s fourth, and most personal, CD. Its songs of worship and praise reflect her personal relationship with the Lord.
